Oracle of Omaha Successor Doubles Down on Italian Tech Powerhouse

Investors sent shares of Bending Spoons surging by forty one percent this week following the revelation that Berkshire Hathaway has poured another three hundred thirty million dollars into the firm. This latest move comes shortly after the Italy based company made its debut on the Nasdaq back in July, a transition marked by an initial six hundred million dollar commitment from the American conglomerate. Under the terms of the new agreement, Bending Spoons will issue ten million ordinary shares to Berkshire at a price of thirty three dollars per share.

The surge in stock value underscores a growing market confidence in the serial acquirer’s aggressive growth strategy. Francesco Patarnello, co founder and head of business acquisitions, noted that the partnership provides significant financial flexibility as the company continues to scout for new targets. He emphasized that their acquisition pipeline remains robust and viewed the capital injection as a validation of both their leadership team and their underlying platform infrastructure.

This strategic bet marks a notable chapter for Berkshire Hathaway under its current leadership. With Greg Abel having officially taken over as CEO from Warren Buffett at the start of the year, his willingness to increase the firm’s stake to four percent signals a clear appetite for high growth technology plays. By deepening its ties with Bending Spoons, Abel is cementing a shift toward modern digital assets while maintaining the disciplined valuation approach associated with the legacy of his predecessor.
